Connect in under a minute

No accounts, no downloads, no firewall tickets for the person receiving help.

1

They open SimDesk

The customer runs a tiny app (or the signed Microsoft Store build) — no install, no login, no admin rights needed.

2

They read you a code

A 6-digit code appears on their screen. They read it to you, or paste it into the ticket. That’s the whole setup.

3

You’re in — with consent

You see and control their screen after they approve on-screen. Transfer files, share clipboard, talk over voice, and record the session.

Everything a support team needs

🖥️

Screen view & full control

See the remote desktop in real time and take control with mouse and keyboard, or watch-only when that’s all they need.

🔓

Unattended access

Reach servers and always-on machines with a Secret ID + key — for maintenance when no one is at the desk.

🎥

Session recording

Record any session and keep it for training, audit and compliance — included, never an upsell.

📎

File transfer & clipboard

Send and pull files, and share the clipboard both ways, without leaving the session.

🎙️

Two-way voice

Talk the customer through it over in-session voice — no separate call, no “can you hear me now”.

🎫

Ticket-native

Launch a session from a helpdesk ticket and log it straight back — or run SimDesk standalone. Your call.

Two ways to connect

Attended

Someone’s at the machine

Perfect for end-user support. They run SimDesk, read you the 6-digit code, and approve on screen. Nothing stays behind when you disconnect.

  • No install or login for the customer
  • Explicit on-screen consent every time
  • Ideal for helpdesk & customer support
Unattended

Nobody’s there

For servers, kiosks and always-on desktops. Set a Secret ID and key once, then reconnect any time for maintenance — securely, without someone reading you a code.

  • Secret ID + key, set per machine
  • Reconnect on demand for maintenance
  • Ideal for IT ops & managed endpoints
Secure by design

Support access you can put in front of an auditor

Explicit consentThe person being helped approves access on their own screen — nothing is hidden.
Encrypted channelSessions run over a secure, encrypted connection between operator and endpoint.
Recorded & auditableEvery session can be recorded and attached to a ticket for review and training.

Use it on its own — or as part of the platform

SimDesk Remote Support works standalone. When you’re ready, it’s already built into the full Simson Desk platform — helpdesk, CRM, HR and invoicing — so every remote session logs to the customer’s ticket automatically. No lock-in either way.

Remote support, answered

What is SimDesk Remote Support?

SimDesk is remote support software that lets your team view and control a customer’s PC to fix problems. It supports attended sessions (the customer runs a small app and reads you a 6-digit code) and unattended access (a Secret ID + key for always-on machines), with session recording, file transfer, clipboard sharing and two-way voice. It’s free to use, with unlimited devices.

Does the customer need to install or sign up for anything?

No. For attended support, the person receiving help just runs a tiny app — or the signed Microsoft Store build — reads you the 6-digit code shown on their screen, and approves access. No account, no login, no admin rights required.

Is SimDesk secure?

Yes. Access requires explicit on-screen consent from the person being helped, the session runs over an encrypted channel, and every session can be recorded and attached to a ticket for audit. SimDesk is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 / 27701 certified.

Can I access unattended machines like servers?

Yes. Set a Secret ID and key on the machine once, and your team can reconnect on demand for maintenance — no one needs to be at the keyboard to read out a code.

What does SimDesk cost?

Nothing — SimDesk Remote Support is free to use. You register with an email address, verify it, and your licence key is issued. There is no card, no per-operator fee, no per-device fee and no trial countdown. Unlimited endpoints and no commercial-use audits.

What platforms does it run on?

Operators work from Windows, and the person receiving attended help can be on Windows or Linux. The Windows app is available from the Microsoft Store, signed by Microsoft so it installs with no security warnings.

Can I use SimDesk inside my helpdesk?

Yes. SimDesk works standalone, and it’s also built into the full Simson Desk platform — so you can launch a session from a ticket and have it logged and recorded back to that ticket automatically. There’s no lock-in either way.
