Create the account

1. Register at console.scaleway.com. Scaleway verifies the email, a phone number and a payment method before resources can be created.

Create a bucket

1. Open Object Storage in the left menu and click Create bucket.
2. Choose a region — fr-par, nl-ams or pl-waw — and remember it.
3. Name the bucket, leave it Private, and create it.

Create an API key

Scaleway keys belong to an IAM application or user and are scoped to a project.

1. Open your organisation menu (top right) → IAM → API keys, then Generate an API key.
2. Choose the bearer — yourself, or better, an IAM application made for this machine with a policy granting ObjectStorageFullAccess on the project.
3. Pick the preferred project for Object Storage: the one holding the bucket.
4. Copy the Access key and the Secret key. The secret is shown once.

Enter it in SimDrive

1. Settings → Storage → Connect storage → Scaleway.
2. Region: fr-par, nl-ams or pl-waw — the one the bucket is in.
3. Access key and Secret key: the pair you copied.
4. Click Connect, then Choose folders to back up.
